Interesting reviews! I wish I had the patience and writing skills that you do to help flash artists get a fair indepth critique rather then just based on short-term feelings(which is how I review currently, and probably many others). Hmm. I saw your review on Sexual Lobsters video and I just had to check out other reviews you did. In most cases your spot on with them but for that one I don't understand why you didn't like it. You said you didn't even smirk but it's the first time a newgrounds video made me literally laugh out loud in awhile. The animation was way above average and effort was clearly put into it. Admittedly, I didn't get quite why two characters looked alike but that added an interest factor. The song was also quite catchy. I don't think your a troll but I also don't understand your motives. =O.
There is no motive, It's funny how everyone is under suspicion of a troll because of someone doesn't like what 95% of everyone else likes. Despite the nice animation and art, it's just my honest opinion that the flash just wasn't funny to me in the least all the humor attempts (lyrics, story, dance seen at the end wasn't) just was very and easy to come up with in my opinion. I'm not a strong fan of random humor but it works if its actually funny.
Sorry, also forgot to mention one thing. You said that it was his fans that kept his video at the top 50 (2nd place to be specific) but I saw it when it was still in flash portal and I had no idea who he was yet I loved it. I showed some friends I know and they laughed too.
Well then he has a shit ton of fans. XD Seriously though the point I was making their was this flash may not be a casual viewers cup of tea.
Haha, fair enough. Your free to your own opinion considering theres no chance of you being a troll. I just feel that even with his animation skills it deserved more than 1/5 but I guess we choose our ratings on different criteria which I can accept. :)
